My name is Jami (pronounced JUH-mee), and I am a journalist and aspiring lawyer from Vancouver, British Columbia. I recently worked as a news reporter in New York City for SmartMoney, the monthly investing magazine of the Wall Street Journal. Previously, I spent eight months in Nairobi, Kenya at the Daily Nation, East Africa’s biggest newspaper, on a fellowship from the Aga Khan Foundation and the Canadian International Development Agency.
